🎮 HUD Bulletin Update 🎮

An update on the progress front for the combat system for Norune:
After delayed and slowed progress, we are finally ready to be moving into the testing phase of combat functions as we begin tuning numbers to the behavior of the system.
With this said: New Mechanics!
**Barrier**: Works just like any shield/absorb mechanic in any other game.
**Counter-Attack** Retaliatory Strike that is primed by an ability, sort of like ‘Readying an action’ in Dungeons and dragons
**Reflect/Thorns** Returned damage upon receiving damage.
**Barrier Resistance** Modifies barrier values either positively or negatively, just like Healing Resistance (+/-)
**Healing Resistance** As it implies, applies a % number to healing received, either increasing or decreasing it. Mortal Strike from WoW, Yo.
**Intercept** If this buff is active on the target of an ability, that ability will target you instead, consuming this buff.
***Planned Mechanics***
* Evolving Debuffs – > Allows debuffs to advance and evolve. Example, if target is affected by Singed, Inflict Burning. Ect ect. You get the gist.
* Energy Over Time/Per Turn – Yes, thats right. Replenishing resources. No more pump till you’re empty and then wet noodle fight. Oh no, tanky healers? Can’t have one without the other, I’m afraid!
* Vampiric Damage – Will obviously be called something else, but just used that name so you get the idea. Healing from a % of damage dealt.

We heard you on your frustrations about some of the travel options in regards to ‘Forced Travel Time’ so with that in mind…
**New Sim Feature**
Crystal Pylon Hubs have been added to each major Locale that will allow you to “portal” between each location, sort of like Aetherhubs in Final Fantasy. Simply walk up, interact… select a destination you have attuned with, voila!
**Attunement**
What is attunement? This is tied to the PrimNetwork Achievement system. You will have to have visited the location in question at least once to have received the achievement related to visiting a specific zone, which will “attune” you to that location’s Crystal Pylon.
**What about self-teleportation or self-portaling once I have this anchor point?**
Per the recent magic rules update back in Q3 of 2025, mid-summer, users cannot conjure such methods by themselves. A very specialized ritual is required to set up anchor points for portals that allow zipping between predetermined points, like coordinates on a map. These Crystal Pylons are the **ONLY** method within the Norune System upon which players may “Teleport IC”. I am not counting the portals in the landing hub since the hub is never an IC area.

Just a heads up that a series of spam attacks are circulating right now via screenshots claiming to be giving away money if you sign up for some kind of service or other thing, or other methods involving “this for that” monetarily. These can take place via spam in discord channels, or via direct DM.
Please be advised of this and do not go to any website or other app depicted in these screenshots. It is fake and is trying to gather information from you.
If you do receive a message of this nature from anyone in the Norune Discord, please fill out a ticket promptly so that we may deal with the offending bot account.

🎮 HUD Bulletin Update 🎮
Greetings Denizens of Norune @everyone
Just a small update since it will impact your ability to use the HUD, due to some updates.
Just make sure to swing by the sim HUB to get a new version of the HUD as Ver. 3.8.0. is now obsolete and has been replaced with a new version. **3.10.1**
**IMPORTANT** If your HUD is any version other than **3.10.1** you will not be able to access features, if it even lets it load at all. Please verify your HUD version before submitting support tickets 💜

🎮 HUD Bulletin Update 🎮
Greetings Denizens of Norune @everyone
This particular update may receive mixed reactions, depending on the side of the fence upon which one sits. However, now that it is live this bulletin must be made to be transparent and clear up possible confusion if you are an affected user.
**What Changed:**
Actively banned UUIDs are completely blocked from accessing the HUD.
Banned users cannot run HUD commands.
Banned users cannot automatically create a new account through HUD login.
Ban enforcement occurs before normal HUD request processing begins.
Once a ban is removed, HUD access is restored on the user’s next request.
**What Banned Users Will See:**
Normal HUD requests will return a locked/blocked response.
Account creation attempts will state that account creation is blocked for the UUID.
**What This Does:**
Prevents banned users from bypassing enforcement by creating a fresh account while their UUID is banned.

Community Notice Update
Greetings Denizens of Norune @everyone
As we approach lore completion date, some big things are happening in the meantime as a bit of background maintenance on overdue rewards are caught up on.
As many of you have no doubt noticed, a new channel has cropped up and has been quite busy as of late. Over the coming days you may see more activity in this channel as prior documented events are reviewed and awards given as necessary.
**What is this new achievement system?**
A cool new feature on Prim Network that provides a bit of engagement for your favorite locales that chose to engage in such. Norune, being one of them. Lots of little goodies here and there on the sim for you to find, puzzles to solve…adventures to be had.
**What about hud rewards for the tournament and other events?**
Those are still in progress as the hud team finalizes all level-related combat mechanics and identities as there is a small backlog of EXP. But fret not, if the event was properly documented per the events policy, it will receive its due rewards.
That said, it is imperative that the events policy is adhered to so rewards can be given properly to those who have earned them.
Further updates on this particular subject will come from the Lore Team Administrator, but I just wanted to reassure you we have not forgotten.

🎮 HUD Bulletin Update 🎮
Greetings Denizens of Norune @everyone
The LIVE HUD is going through several updates right now so try and avoid making characters right now as things are fixed and tweaked.
If you happen to make a character and notice any odd behavior, like unable to use the hud following the creation, or other odd media errors… Let us know in a ticket so it can be looked at.
Also, importantly… Make sure you have saved the initial password generated for you when you first put on the HUD. This allows you to access the web portal if you experience issues with the HUD in SL, which will allow you to operate the HUD via your web browser.
Thanks all who have shown support and remained with us. I know progress has been slow, but rushed projects are prone to mishaps.
Class mechanics, debuffs, buffs and the like are still in the process of being finalized as we hammer out what functions the HUD can and can’t do, in its current coded state.
